I'm Dave Messenger, an IT professional since 2011 and a Network Engineer by trade. Over the years I've worked across a broad range of technologies, but I've found myself pulled deeper and deeper into the world of networking and security — drawn in by the complexity, and kept there by the challenge.

This site started as a way to document the solutions I was designing and implementing day-to-day, so I'd never have to solve the same problem twice. It grew into something more: a genuine attempt to give something back to the technical community that's helped shape my career.

There are plenty of great resources out there — I just hope this becomes one of them. If something here saves you an hour, a headache, or a 2am troubleshooting session, then it's done its job.
